The objective of the Law Enforcement Regional Sales Manager is to:

o Build relationships with Federal and L.E. Agencies with the aim of selling Beretta products.

o Generate new business and manage existing accounts

o Identify and recruit new Distributors and Dealers to our network

o Manage and direct Regional Distributor/Dealer Account network

o Coordinate and supervise the Independent Manufacturer’s Sales Rep. Groups’ activities (where applicable).

This position will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with all Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies in the region, as well as directly calling on them.

The position will manage the day to day sales process, manage existing customers, lead presentations and demos, develop proposals and close sales.

The Law Enforcement Sales Manager will represent the Company in the Law Enforcement community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Develop, build and maintain relationships with Federal, State and Local LE Agencies and the L.E accounts network.

Directly manage business with Federal agencies, L.E. agencies and L.E. accounts network.

Perform products demos with all LE Agencies in the region.

Develop and implement short/long term strategic sales objectives to accommodate corporate goals.

Active participation in the bid preparation process in conjunction with the VP International Sales and BDT USA, the L.E. Sales, National Senior Manager and other key employees.

Direct sales forecasting activities for production and budgetary processes.

Closely monitor L.E. Independent Manufacturer’s Sales Rep Group’s sales results (where applicable) or with the L.E. Distributor/Dealer Accounts network to ensure objectives are achieved.

Work with L.E. Independent Manufacturer’s Sales Rep Groups to set strategies to develop the Law Enforcement business.

Meet with clients and assist L.E. Independent Manufacturer’s Sales Rep Groups while maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals.

Compile list of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet web sites, and other sources.

Closely work with BDT Account Manager and Internal Sales Reps (ISR’s) to provide world class customer service to our valued Law Enforcement customers.

Advise Dealers, Distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques. Perform sales training where applicable.

Assist Marketing in monitoring and evaluating competitors’ activities and products.

Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products and participate in industry-related associations and committees.

Generate weekly/monthly sales reports indicating sales volumes, potential sales, and areas of proposed client-base expansion.

Manage all Law Enforcement shows and training opportunities in the region.

Conduct Beretta Armorer Classes on Pistol, Shotgun and Rifle platforms as needed.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

Attend Law Enforcement and Trade Shows as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must have ability to travel extensively and work weekends as required.

Ability to travel by plane required.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:

Work is performed in a professional group office environment.

Ability to properly, professionally and safely use firearms in a public/private forum.

Computer proficiency: MS Word, Excel, Power Point required. MS Access preferred.

Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interests, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Must reside in Accokeek, MD or local surrounding areas.

EXPERIENCE EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Business from four-year college or university preferred.

7+ years related experience in Law Enforcement required.

7+ years sales experience dealing with Law Enforcement accounts required.
