Sr. Manager, Marketing Innovation

is responsible for developing short-term and long-term new product concepts, products, and product lines (new and line extensions) and roadmap for all Libbey categories, to maximize profitable growth. This leader will drive competitive analysis, new product pricing, packaging, pipeline creation, forecasting, new product revenue and margin. This role will both lead and work collaboratively with sales, pricing, channel & category marketing, NPD cross functional team, and external stakeholders. This cross functional collaboration will achieve execution of customer, product, and channel growth initiatives, and ensure alignment of company goals.If you are a data-based dreamer, a growth hacker with a proven record of scaling businesses, then this is the right role for you!

RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership:Lead, manage and develop new product development (NPD) marketing teamLead, manage and communicate with NPD cross functional teamLead, influence, and empower the organization to fulfill our purpose (living our legacy, shaping our future, and winning as one)Cultivate a diverse and inclusive culture where associates can thrive, make us better and fuel ideas/innovations to ensure our long-term success.Strategic Roadmap Development & Project Management:Spearhead the ideation and development of a rolling 3-yr product roadmap aligned with Libbey’s vision, business ambition, and market trendsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and prioritize concepts that align with the company's growth objectivesOversee end-to-end product development processes, from concept creation to commercialization, identifying potential risks and challenges during product development and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes for breakthrough and commercial innovationNew Product DevelopmentOwn and drive stage gate (SG) management and SG process improvement along with Project Management Office, looking to increase our speed to marketLaunch Viability: Ensure high-quality, timely, and successful product launches that meet portfolio objectives, are accretive, deliver on financial KPIs, and exceed customer expectations for category growthContinuously improve product revenue build from launchResponsible for ensuring that each launch has a strong insight, benefit reason to believe and compelling, selling story for the customers, channel, and the categoryNew Product Vision and StrategyAnalyzing industry, customer, end-user trends and design trendsLead our competitive analysis approaches. Manage product lifecycle analysis and deliver ideas to renew product lifecyclesOwn, develop and lead Libbey’s ideation processNPD Revenue and AnalyticsAnalyze and report NPD revenues & analytics (monthly/quarterly), ultimately driving action plans and business decisionsOwn a host of metrics: NPD inventory turnover, budget, and forecastingGo-to-Market Hand-off:Once commercialization begins, deliver the necessary information for your counterparts to lead on the go-to-market execution

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.10+ years of experience in successfully driving new products, innovation, marketing strategies, plans, programs, and operations to drive revenue growth – product marketing experience required.Deep knowledge of stage gate and new product development is mandatoryExperience in leading teams / direct reportsRetail, food service, and/or B2B channel experienceNew product and or innovation management experience in a matrix organization is preferredStrong communication, presentation, and analytical skillsDemonstrated ability to apply strategic and critical thinking to business situationsAbility to understand and synthesize financial, analytical and research to create actionable insightsAble to create new product business cases for financial evaluationFamiliarity with pricing strategy and product costingOpportunity mapping and concept sizing experienceAble to understand technical products to create product concepts for evaluation.Experience with process, continuous improvement, agile process, and/or lean thinkingExperience with tabletop items (glassware, dinnerware, flatware, serveware and durable goods) preferredProven record of success in working independently, meeting project objectives/deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:This position will travel 10-15% of the time, with some international travel
