Job Description

Provide support to the R2C2 contract in all necessary activities to include Digital Learning (DL), blended learning, and special multimedia visualization projects. The primary function of this role is to develop learning modules that incorporate digital images, videos, animations, narration, etc. This role is part of a DL Team that will work with Course Directors, Classroom Instructors, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Instructional System Designers (ISD) and Project Managers to design multimedia learning experiences that are at the cutting edge of self-service and self-paced learning. This will also include building self-study lessons based on Instructor provided storyboards, audio scripts, training documentation, graphic design, and video production, as needed. This position will also support the training request process, as well as occasionally setting up and producing live instructor training webinars.

Required Experience:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As part of the R2C2 team, this role will collaborate on the design and development of new training content, video productions and animations with input from SMEs, to produce sound instructional materials in accordance with objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Create relevant blended learning material that supports learner-centric experiences.

Design and develop learning solutions using a combination of media, interactive content compatible to maximize engagement.

Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and business teams to identify goals and outcomes for learning experiences.

Design and develop online learning experiences that align with learning outcomes, apply learning principles, inform learner progress and success in online learning environments.

Perform quality checks (alpha/beta testing) to ensure learning experience standards are met.

Ensure that training content is running properly at all times within the various learning platforms without interruption, learning quality impact, and without experiencing any avoidable technical issues that could diminish the overall user experience.

Designs, develops, and refines graphics, animations, multimedia, audio, and video content for use with in-resident and distance learning formats.

Photograph and record video content to support DL curriculum.

Develops and implements strategies for the rapid creation of high-quality multimedia learning objects.

Design and create graphics, signage, general marketing materials, etc. for both print and online distribution as needed.

Coordinate with Program Manager, Course Leads and ISD staff to ensure all curriculum lessons are properly developed.

Keep abreast of continually evolving multimedia technologies and/or enhanced product features and functionality and incorporate into training design and development.

Demonstrates initiative by identifying issues, recommending and implementing solutions.

Demonstrates sound judgment in independently resolving matters of moderate complexity.

Minimum Qualifications

Expert time and project management skills to handle multiple assignments and complete complex jobs under deadline pressure.

Proven ability to develop meaningful and engaging multimedia assets and training elements (Submission of digital portfolio encouraged).

Knowledge of emerging trends for digital content creation (e.g. Gamification, XR, 3D modeling and animation).

Experience using video-production equipment (cameras, lights, audio equipment).

Demonstrates effective and professional service orientation and builds appropriate rapport with multiple stakeholders, SMEs, internal and external contacts.

Excellent verbal, writing and interpersonal communications skills and problem-solving ability.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to creating high production value visuals.

Work well within a team environment and on own initiative.

Provides best effort assistance to fulfill any project assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud’s Suite of software (After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop)

Proficient with eLearning development software (Articulate 360 Suite, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Lectora)

Advanced motion graphics, 3D animation, or digital illustration skillsets

Experience with designing for blended and virtual user experiences, instructional design, e-learning development, or online learning pedagogy

Experience with the Instructure Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) a plus

Computer or technical background a plus

Education and Security Clearance Required

BS Degree or higher in Media Arts, Communications, Graphics Design, Instructional Design, Technology & Training or Educational Technology

Active TS/SCI security clearance, or ability to obtain one

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $90,000 to $95,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
