Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant - Auglaize + Mercer General Surgery

Office LocationAuglaize Mercer General Surgery- St. MarysHours of JobPart-time - 16 hours per week8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays/Thursdays**subject to change with staff PTONo weekends or holidays required. Duties and Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting with rooming patients, colonoscopy screening telephone intake calls, and pulling records to support other clinical staff with chart prep.Collaborates with providers and health team members to implement provider orders.Completes clinical assessments of patients. Communicates with patients, providers, and team members Assist in Chart prep, and nurse box with direction from nurse. Colonoscopy Call intake notes and preparing chart/scheduling the patient for screening colonoscopy.Education/CertificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Completion of an MA program/PCT and/or successful completion of at least one quarter or semester of clinical work and medical terminology in a health-related program with a grade of C or higher.ExperiencePrevious experience in a physician medical practice setting is preferred, but not required.
