This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with faculty, staff, and diverse internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication. Description: Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp: Bachelors plus 1-2 year(s) of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, paired with excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with faculty, staff, and external partners Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, contributing positively to a dynamic environment. Demonstrated willingness to exercise sound judgment and take initiative, while professionally interacting with a diverse range of faculty personnel and external agencies. Flexible and open to change, with a readiness to pivot as priorities and needs shift within the department Strong ability to plan and prioritize work effectively, managing competing deadlines and responding to changes in schedules with composure. A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks and communications. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and foster trust in sensitive situations. Prepare and proofread a wide range of materials-from correspondence and reports to agendas and minutes-ensuring accuracy and clarity in all communications. Regularly update and enhance departmental websites to ensure content is current and accessible. Manage departmental email and triage content to prioritize communications effectively. Maintain and organize the department's database platforms, adhering to best practices in records retention. Percentage Of Time: 25 Description: Recruiting Collaborate with the search committee chair in faculty recruitment efforts, skillfully posting job openings and coordinating the interview process with an emphasis on attracting top talent. Assist in the appointment and reappointment processes for faculty and non-faculty academics, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires. Maintain up-to-date departmental HR databases, including job descriptions and organizational charts, while strictly adhering to confidentiality and college policies.Percentage Of Time: 50Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others.
