Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to handle a diverse caseload of litigation cases, with a particular focus on Plaintiff personal injury matters. The role involves mentoring paralegals and support staff and requires strong negotiation, communication, and case management skills.Duties:Manage litigation cases from inception through resolution, including preparing and presenting cases in court.Mentor and supervise paralegals and support staff in litigation processes.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.Negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved.Analyze medical records, bills, and insurance coverage related to personal injury cases.Utilize case management software (e.g., Needles) to track case progress and maintain records.Handle a large caseload and ensure efficient case management and client service.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to and active membership with the North Carolina State Bar, in good standing.2-5 years of litigation experience, particularly with Plaintiff personal injury matters in North Carolina.Highly developed negotiation and communication skills.Excellent understanding of injuries, medical records, and bills.Strong knowledge of automobile insurance coverage.Experience with Needles case management software is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.Ability to manage a large caseload and supervise a team of paralegals and support staff.
