Our Plant Human Resources (HR) Team plays a vital role in supporting plant employees and leadership while championing community and employee engagement efforts. As a key member of our HR leadership team, the Human Resource Manager will own and lead all HR functions at the plant, driving the success of the site and ensuring alignment with Flagstone Foods' company-wide strategies.The Human Resource Manager will be the primary HR leader for the plant, providing strategic direction and tactical support to both plant employees and leaders. This role partners closely with the Plant Leadership Team and reports directly to the corporate HR function, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Plant Manager. As a trusted advisor, the HR Manager will lead the HR team, foster a positive work environment, drive culture change, and ensure compliance with all employment-related laws and regulations. This individual will also contribute to Flagstone Foods' HR initiatives across the company as needed.We are looking for candidates with experience supporting front-line employees and field-based client groups in a manufacturing or distribution center environment. This includes the ability to work collaboratively with operational teams to address HR challenges, drive employee engagement, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.What You’ll Be Do:Essential FunctionsHR Leadership & Team Management:Lead and manage the day-to-day HR operations in the plant, including employee relations, performance management, onboarding, workforce planning, talent development, and HR complianceSupervise and coach a team of HR professionals, including HR Business Partners/Specialists, Labor Coordinators, and Administrative support staffEmployee Relations & Culture Building:Drive culture change and engagement initiatives by partnering with plant leadership on programs such as the Ambassador Council, Roundtables, and Floor walksProvide coaching and guidance to plant managers on people-related matters, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategyEmbraces and values diversity in people, perspectives, and work stylesRecruitment & Talent Management:Lead the recruitment and hiring process for plant positions, ensuring a robust pipeline of talent to meet operational needPartner with the Technical Training Manager to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing training for employees, ensuring full compliance and documentationWorkforce Planning & Labor Management:Oversee the Labor Coordinator function to maintain optimal staffing levels and ensure alignment with production schedulesDevelop and implement labor management strategies that support production efficiency while fostering a positive employee experienceCompliance & HR Analytics:Ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws, including EEO, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, and other employment regulationsLeverage HRIS and other systems to provide relevant reports and data, identifying trends to support decision-making and strategic HR planningUse HR analytics to track performance management, retention rates, vacancy reports, and other key HR metrics to inform business strategyEmployee Safety & Compensation:Oversee the local administration of workers' compensation and ensure timely reporting and compliance with safety standardsCollaborate with leaders to align compensation strategies with company objectives and ensure accurate timekeeping.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Serve as a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, ensuring an integrated business partnership that supports the direction and success of the plantContribute to company-wide HR projects and initiatives, providing insights from the plant and collaborating with the Flagstone Foods HR teamWhat will make you successful:Exceptional people leadership, coaching, and feedback skills needed to ensure excellence in delivery and results.Excellent written and oral presentation skills are necessary to influence others, present effectively to diverse audiences, and interact with a wide variety of people.Strong HR business acumen along with problem-solving abilities, high emotional intelligence, influence, and strategic thinking skills is essential.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of dynamic HR experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong leadership and organizational management experience, particularly in turnaround or fast-paced environmentsComprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations (EEO, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, etc.)Proven ability to influence change, drive engagement, and develop positive relationships with both employees and leadersExcellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OutlookMinimal travel, approximately 10% or less.Preferred Qualifications:Human Resource certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP)Experience in the food manufacturing industryProficiency in ADP (HRIS) and UKG (Time & Attendance) SystemWhy Join Flagstone Foods?
