Summary:

Responsible for processing received and damaged materials, as well as outgoing mail, following inventory control procedures.

Reports to:
Presort Supervisor

Requirements:

Education/Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift Certification/Safety Training

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Ability to lift/move boxes up to 40 lbs, occasionally up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to push, pull, bend freely, and stand for 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Mechanical aptitude to operate a forklift.
  • Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and communicating with colleagues and management.

Working Conditions:
Factory environment with exposure to dust, noise, heat, and cold.

Tasks and Duties:

  • Palletize and scan mail according to postal specifications, strap trays, and prepare outgoing mail for verification.
  • Assist the Postal Clerk and Floor Supervisor as needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the production floor and organize postal supplies.
  • Operate and maintain an electric forklift while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Focus on quality service, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
