The Role\u00A0

As a Director, Platform Architecture for Digital Assets, you will be responsible for designing and building software for projects spanning multiple engineering groups at Fidelity Digital Assets. This is a hands-on role where you will write code and set technical direction. You will be responsible for turning requirements into service designs and will collaborate with architects across other product areas and business units to drive overall architecture of the Fidelity Digital Assets platform.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring\u00A0

  • Batchelor's degree in computer science
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience\u00A0
  • Production experience with Java and Springboot. Python is a plus
  • Experience designing and building large scale production distributed systems with focus on customer experience, scale, resilience and performance
  • Proficient in principles of API design and its application using REST. Websockets/GraphQL is a plus
  • Experience with reactive and functional programming concepts
  • Familiarity with AWS services architecture and solution patterns is preferred
  • Experience with Data architecture, SQL, ETL, batch operations, warehousing is a plus
  • Exposure to infrastructure as code, test automation, CI/CD, and containerization\u00A0
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at a given time\u00A0
  • Ability to collaborate stake holders to understand business requirement
  • Experience in managing technology vendor relationships
