Nesco Resource is working with their client in Milford to identify a qualified Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer.

POSITION SUMMARY



Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer's primary responsibility will be supporting production by ensuring that tools, people, methods, and processes are in place to manufacture and deliver high quality lighting and power supply products. The focus on product efficiencies, cost standards, process improvements and machine improvements will be the key requirement of this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop comprehensive and structured work instruction for assembly process lines with detailed process steps and visual aids.
  • Develop and monitor labor standards for costing and capacity planning.
  • Participate in lean / Six Sigma continuous improvement efforts for products, processes, systems and methods, including responding to customer problems, when required: train/mentor production employees on product processes.
  • Ensure that work instructions, processes, tools, and jigs on the production floor are adequate to meet production needs and quality standards.
  • Perform time studies, ergonomic/safety assessments, process flow analysis, and productivity evaluations for all production areas and implement identified improvements.
  • Responsible for releasing all new products from product design into production, ensuring that all documents are complete, and methods are in place.
  • Provide technical support/solutions to manufacturing processes, manage to establish yield and throughput, and drive for cost reduction and optimal quality
  • Coordinate all manufacturing equipment and facility procurement, installations, and repairs.
  • Develop efficient process flows and facility layouts in manufacturing and in the warehouse.
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving techniques, using creative, critical thinking, and collaborative methods and interface with all departments on a regular basis to resolve issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in manufacturing / mechanical engineering or technology and 3 years' experience
  • AS degree in manufacturing / mechanical engineering or technology and 6 years' experience
  • No degree but a minimum of 10 years' experience in manufacturing engineering role
  • Project management experience working with internal customers and external vendors to deliver project and processes within specified timelines and budgets
  • Demonstrated aptitude in maintaining production equipment.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Experience with Sequel database, Power automates, Power BI or similar applications desired, but not mandatory.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong analytical, quantitative skills.
  • Committed, effective and supportive team member, able to work flexibly, quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to:
