Department Information

The Administrative Services Center (ASC) is your one-stop shop for all of your Human Resources (HR) and information Technology (IT) services and operations. Formed as part of the Administrative Excellence (AdminX) initiative, the ASC is committed to delivering operational improvements and efficient processes.

Job Summary

The HR Consultant position facilitates and coordinates the application of human resources policies and procedures for assigned campus unit(s). Coordinate implementation of new or revised human resources policies and programs within unit(s).This position will interact on a consistent basis with unit management and staff, Talent Management Department (TMD), and Office of Human Resources (OHR) management and staff.This position typically will advise and counsel unit management and staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -Advise and assist unit management in the application of human resources policies and procedures.Job Duty 2 -Review and coordinate the processing of transactions to initiate the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) related to onboarding of new hires, offboarding, terminations, pay actions, promotions, data changes, etc.Job Duty 3 -Consult with HR Consultant Sr. on all HR actions on a regular basisJob Duty 4 -Coordinate and facilitate processing of formal employee relations issues, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations in consultations with Employee Relations.Job Duty 5 -Perform other related duties as necessaryJob Duty 6 -Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational RequirementsBachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experienceRequired ExperienceFour to five years of job-related experience

Proposed Salary

Pay Range: $55,029-$74,841/yr

Other Information

This is a one-year "Limited Term" position that ends one year from the hire date. All employment and assignments are ultimately contingent upon available funding, business needs, and your performance of the assignment. Georgia Tech retains the right to terminate this assignment at any time for cause or, in its sole discretion, for convenience; in either case, Georgia Tech's obligation shall be limited to payment for hours and/or days worked prior to the termination date.
