And for more than 90 years our innovative drive has kept us a step ahead of our customers’ evolving needs.Job DescriptionThe Senior Consultant II represents insureds and the Company in the defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases. This position prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.Key Responsibilities
Contacts clients to discuss their case and answer any questionsReview new file assignments, all documentary evidence and approve initial pleadings, propounds discovery, and develop strategyInvestigate and pursue subrogation litigation, as appropriateConduct settlements/dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations, etc.)Prepare and conduct court appearances (matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences, etc.)Conduct depositions and examinations under oath and prepares summary documentsPrepares witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials including expert witnessesTry and/or arbitrate cases and prepares motions and summary documents in liminieKeep claim business partners updated on status (initial client contact, initial litigation plan, recurring contacts, strategy conferences, and pre-trial, etc.)Personal injury protection cases a plusEducation
• Juris Doctor (Required)Experience
• 1 - 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)State Bar License required for the state of Massachusetts. Licenses in Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island are a plus.Must be able to attend court as needed. Court is usually located in the metro Boston area, Worcester, South Shore, Greater Boston area, can vary to other areas.Supervisory Responsibilities
