We strive for an inclusive work environment across all levels that is reflective of the available workforce in the communities we serve.Job SummaryYou will beresponsible for building and maintaining GIS solutions and processes to meet the needs of our electric and gas utility business.Essential FunctionsUnderstand and analyze business requirements from product owners and stakeholders.Develop and support software applications, database integrations, and interfaces to fulfill business requirements in accordance with CNP development and architectural standards.Collaborate with developers and specialists in conceptualizing, developing, testing, and maintaining GIS solutions and software in support of CNP Electric and Gas operations.Work with GIS support staff, system administrators and/or external vendors to resolve production issues.Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code, and produce clear and concise documentation.Work under technical leads to conduct proof-of-concept research on new technologies for future endeavors.Perform Emergency Operating Plan (EOP) assignments that may require extended days and include challenging field conditions to assist utility restoration efforts
A bonus to have:Ability to develop web, mobile, and desktop business-oriented GIS applications on the platforms of Microsoft .NET Framework and Esri's ArcGIS.Ability to develop efficient data ETL processes and integrate system interfaces between GIS and other business systems such as SAP.Knowledge of custom development on Esri's Web App Builder and/or Web Experience Builder.Ability to effectively execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Able to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.Good communication and technical writing skills.
Education Description
Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Applications or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
ExperienceRequires 3 years of related experience in any of the following areas:Applications programming experience to include custom web, desktop, and mobile GIS applications development.
Esri's software suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.Proficiency in at least one scripting language to include Python, Arcade, SQL, or Windows command line.Web Services and Application Development using C#, .Net Framework, MVC, Web API, WCF, and Entity FrameworkWeb development using JavaScript/HTML5/CSS, Dojo. ReactJS and Typescript
A bonus to have experience in:Database development in Oracle 12g with PL/SQLSafe Software FME Form and FME FlowSpatial Business Systems Automated Utility DesignGSI Works Distribution Design Studio
