The Lead Domestic Violence (DVI) Advocate is responsible for the management and coordination of the activities and services for the Lanai Domestic Violence (DV) programs and integration of DV services with the LISS programs. This position coordinates service delivery with staff and other service providers, as well as delivers direct service to clients, when needed. The Lead DVI Advocate maintains the Lanai office, vehicle, and condo, and routine travel to and from Lanai by ferry is required. The position also supports the activities of the Maui Family Peace Center through coordination and direct client services as required. This position works extensively with other service providers, community partners, clients, other supervisors, and the community at large.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Behaves in a manner that supports the agency's mission and follows personnel policies and procedures.

Coordinates and ensures delivery of services and monitors the quality of services to all clients and families. Develops and promotes excellent relationships between the program and community stakeholders. Coordinates service activities as needed between PACT departments and partner agencies on behalf of the client.

Attends to the safety of victim/survivors and children, as designated.

Plans, conducts, and completes intake/assessments for domestic violence offenders, victims of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and child sexual abuse from community, partner, and self-referrals to include safety planning and case management services in accordance with agency and program procedures.

Maintains the proper functioning and maintenance of the Lanai office, condo, and vehicle.

Participates in and/or coordinates program representation in community education/groups, workshops, seminars, and panels, in consultation with the Maui Program Director.

Oversees all record keeping, data input/management, eHana input, and the drafting of program reports as needed; submits reports according to program requirements.

Supports the agency’s quality initiatives by working collaboratively with supervisor to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the service delivery model and services provided.

Work Hours:

Generally, 8:00 - 4:30 Monday through Friday, with ability to work flexible hours and weekends or evenings, to meet client needs and facilitate groups, as needed.

Travel:

May be required to serve assigned clients on neighbor islands, provide staff support on neighbor islands, and attend training as needed (Mode of off island travel may include air, ferry, and small aircraft as available. May remain overnight on Lanai.)

Education / Training:

Bachelor's degree in social work or related field from an accredited institution, required.

Experience:

Two (2) years’ experience in domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, substance abuse, or family support, required.

Other:

Possesses and maintains a valid driver’s license.

Has daily access to an automobile.

Possesses and maintains proof of no-fault insurance.
