Position Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) the Vice President of Global Human Resources is a key executive role responsible for leading and overseeing the global human resources function. This role ensures the alignment of HR strategies with the organization’s overall business objectives and drives initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, culture, talent management, and employee engagement across all international locations and be the primary HR Business Partner to our Montreal, QC location.

The VP, Global HR will be a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, providing expertise in all areas of HR, including talent acquisition, development, retention, compensation, benefits, diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI), compliance, and HR technology. This role demands a leader who can navigate the complexities of a global workforce and foster a cohesive, high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership:

Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s business objectives and support its global growth.

Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team on all HR-related matters.

Lead the development and execution of global HR policies, procedures, and programs.

Talent Management:

Oversee global talent acquisition, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent across all regions.

Lead initiatives in succession planning, leadership development, and career pathing to build a strong talent pipeline.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and development to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and build a positive organizational culture.

Oversee global employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices.

Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization.

Compensation and Benefits:

Design and oversee competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with the company’s business strategy and global market conditions.

Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in all regions.

Lead efforts to continuously assess and improve the company’s total rewards strategy.

HR Operations and Technology:

Oversee the global HR operations to ensure efficient, scalable processes that support business needs.

Lead the selection and implementation of HR technologies that enhance employee experience and streamline HR processes.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure the organization is compliant with all labor laws, regulations, and best practices in all operating regions.

Lead risk management initiatives related to HR, including workforce planning, crisis management, and employee safety.

Serve as the primary point of contact for legal matters related to HR, including labor disputes and compliance issues.

Leadership and Team Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop the global HR team, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.

Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the HR function.

Serve as a role model for the company’s values and leadership principles.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

15+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role overseeing a global HR function.

Skills:

Proven experience in developing and executing HR strategies in a multinational environment.

Strong knowledge of global labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.

Demonstrated success in talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements:

Ability to travel internationally as required.

Bilingual (French and English) if Quebec Based.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong Knowledge of Quebec Labor Laws.

Experience with SuccessFactors (HCM).
