Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Cold Room/Freezers -22 degrees, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

How will you make an impact?

Implement Operational Excellence initiatives to meet or exceed key performance indicators and improve organizational health through process improvements.

What will you do?

In this role you will lead our site's practical process improvement (PPI) initiatives and promote lean six sigma principles and operational excellence standard methodologies across all functions, driving the company's dedication to excellence.

Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.

Demonstrates and drives the Thermo Fisher values – Integrity, Intensity, Involvement, and Innovation (The Four I’s).

Own continuous improvement through Operational Excellence.

Apply basic cost-benefit analysis to new opportunities, with the goal of driving savings.

Collaborate with Site leaders to build an action-biased culture of continuous improvement and accountability to improve growth, efficiency, quality, and customer experience.

Directly lead and run continuous improvement activities: Diagnostics, Just Do Its, workshops, Kaizens and projects, using various methodologies, tools and systems: lean, six sigma, pull manufacturing, total productive maintenance, waste reduction, Lean Leadership, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Blitz, Cell Design, Flow dynamics, 5S, Visual Management, 3P and various diagnostic tools.

Collaborate with Finance and Project sponsors to achieve project goals and implement an operational excellence plan that aligns with company strategies.

How will you get here?

Education:Bachelors Degree from an accredited College/University or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience is required.

Experience:2 years’ work experience in a regulated work environment in the areas of operations, engineering, process improvement, or quality is needed.

Preferred experience, skills & abilities:

Strong technical knowledge and the ability to compellingly convey knowledge to others.

Successful in leading cross-functional teams to resolve challenges.

Self-motivated, persistent, and motivated by outcomes.

Strong influencing skills coupled with the ability to indirectly influence peers and team members.

Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills with strong written and verbal communication skills.
