These initiatives are crucial to growing our employees, delivering business results and exceeding our customer's needs. The role's responsibility is to deliver sustained improvement in plant operations through continuous improvement approaches and employee involvement as well as to safely and cost effectively deliver quality parts to our customers.Primary Responsibilities & Duties:Manages the development and execution of the Plant's Continuous Improvement ProgramDrive a Continuous Improvement methodology through the development of strategies and best practices for the organizationLeads and develops others on Lean methodology and Six SigmaManages the development and sustainment of the Cellular Manufacturing processForward-looking, leading the development, deployment and management of continuous improvement capabilities and opportunitiesPromote lean activities in support of the culture change and process improvementEnsure integration of other tools and methodologies with Continuous Improvement to ensure successful delivery of various initiativesLeads continuous improvement events and training exercisesPlan, prepare, execute, review and audit process improvement eventsPerform other duties and projects as requiredRequired Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar degree5+ years relevant experienceExperience within manufacturing processesSkills & Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to develop training and train employeesExcellent problem-solving skillsProject managementComputer proficiency in MS windows and office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPointIn-depth knowledge in working with MS Power Business IntelligenceStrong leadership skillsAbility to prioritize, follow through and build relationshipsNelson Global is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
