The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina is recruiting for a full-time

Grants Manager.

The Grants Manager is integral to the grantee partner experience at the Foundation and the overall effectiveness of our grantmaking. The Grants Manager will fully embrace our grantmaking principles which are built on transparency, both internally and internally; trust, reciprocal and shared; humility, being mindful of proximity; and value alignment, rooted in the Foundation's core values. This position is a member of a high performing team and requires a desire for ongoing learning as it relates to the technical and strategic components of our grantmaking, strong organizational and project management skills, high emotional intelligence, thoughtful attention to detail both written and orally, ability to balance multiple deadlines, and a demonstrated ability to create an exceptional experience for grantee partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support applicants/grantees throughout grant life cycles (20%)Assist team members with internal tasks associated with grant life cycles (25%)Lead grants management software use and technical support (50%)Aid in general processes of the Foundation (5%)QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree combined with 4-6 years of professional work experienceDemonstrated high-level of critical thinking and analytical skills in a range of topicsAt least 2 years of experience in nonprofit, grantmaking, or related fieldFluency in Foundant or similar grants management software, or customer management softwareHigh level of proficiency in using Excel and Power PointKnowledge and experience with practical application of nonprofit organizational best-practicesDetail-oriented problem solver with exceptional organizational and follow-through skillsDemonstrated ability to learn and model best practices in grantmakingHigh emotional intelligence and track record of excellent customer service deliveryDemonstrated knowledge and skills with inquiry approach in facilitating change processes and capacity building, both internally and with external stakeholdersAbility to exercise independent judgment and initiative, prioritize effectively, successfully manage a high volume of multiple ongoing projects (sometimes under extreme deadlines) and consistently deliver a high-quality final productDemonstrated dependability, accountability, and consistent high-quality follow-through to internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful, adaptive, and skilled nonprofit or grantmaking professional with a demonstrated ability to work within a highly effective infrastructure, and deliver consistent, high-quality work. This person must be committed to ongoing improvement and possess an ability to continuously reflect and develop skills and knowledge to support the work of the Foundation's grantee partners. Also, this person will have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively discuss the Foundation's grantmaking across many settings. This person will be able to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people, have solid judgment, integrity, a positive attitude and a demonstrated commitment to the Foundation's mission and values.
