Job Description:Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a dedicated and experienced game designer for the World of Warcraft team. This position will be accountable for the creative design and technical implementation of outdoor multiplayer content. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in game design, strong critical thinking and analysis, outstanding people skills, boundless creativity, a strong visual aesthetic, extensive knowledge of World of Warcraft, and a longstanding passion for playing games. This role is a hybrid work position, with some work-from-home and some work on-site at our studio either in Boston, MA or Irvine, California.

Requirements

5+ years of game design experience, preferably on MMO / RPG centric content.

Extensive content creation experience. Ideally, someone who has creatively owned complete implementations from concept to delivery.

Strong prototyping and technical implementation skills.

Able to work creatively in a fast-paced team environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Familiarity with World of Warcraft and a deep understanding of what makes outdoor repeatable systems, events, and side content fun and engaging.

Absolute passion for playing and making computer games with other people.

Pluses

Familiarity and understanding of social gaming systems and mechanics.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience managing and/or mentoring others.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location.
