About the Job:
The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining quality control in operations. The primary responsibility is to emit confidence in our service and satisfy our valued customers. The incumbent will strive to not only meet but exceed the expectations on service, communication, and relationship management. The position includes daily tasks with emphasis on accuracy, effective communication, quality control with an ultimate objective of fostering positive and long-term relationships. The Account Manager oversees customer accounts and will be accountable for the direction of operational performance, shipment profitability and developing operational enhancements. The Account Manager will be responsible for all aspects of each shipment from the point of pickup to final delivery.
In This Role, You Will:Customer relationship management serving as the primary point of contact.Clearly understand the customers business requirements, objectives, and expectations.Oversee and coordinate daily shipments to ensure accurate and timely fulfilment.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to develop customer and operational SOPs.Ensure all customer expectations are met and exceeded.Identify opportunities for account expansions and cross selling throughout the entire Odyssey portfolio of services.Optimize transportation costs and routings to lower costs and enhance service.Collaborate with commercial leads to manage all new customer and lane onboardings.Develop and provide daily, weekly, monthly standard and ad hoc reports as necessary.ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.

Required:Must be 18 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or GED require; college degree preferred.3 to 5 years of transportation experience in a similar role; intermodal and rail experience preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.Familiarity with transportation operations reporting tools preferred.Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Location:This is an in-office role based in Lombard, IL.
Occasional travel may be required.As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.The base pay range for this position is: $51,000 to $81,500 per year.This position is eligible for potential bonuses of 10%We offer a generous compensation and benefits package including:Choice of medical plans with FSA, HRA and HSA options.Vision insurance;Company-paid dental and life/disability Plans;401K with company match;Preferred vendor discounts;Competitive Paid Time Off.
