Vertiv, a $6.9B global organization with more than 28,000 employees across the world, has 6 regional offices, 22 manufacturing and assembly locations, 240 service centers, and 19 customer experience centers/labs.POSITION SUMMARYThe Director of Global Labor Relations will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of labor relations within the company. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in labor law, collective bargaining, conflict resolution, and strategic labor relations management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of labor laws and regulations, and a proven track record of effectively managing labor relations in a large, publicly traded organization. This position will be located at our Corporate HQ in Westerville, Ohio.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Leadership:

Develop and implement the company's labor relations strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Provide strategic counsel to senior management on labor relations issues, including collective bargaining, union negotiations, and conflict resolution.Employee Relations:

Handle all facets of employee relations, including investigations and resolutions to employment disputes. Proactively lead and drive positive employee relations programs and action planning across the country. Provide employee relations support, guidance, and direction to the HR organization and business leaders, with a particular emphasis on the administration of policies and compliance programs.Union Relations and Negotiations:

Lead negotiations and manage relationships with labor unions and employee representatives. Oversee the preparation and administration of collective bargaining agreements. Address and resolve labor disputes and grievances in a timely and effective manner.Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Monitor and assess potential risks related to labor relations and develop strategies to mitigate them.Policy Development and Implementation:

Develop, review, and update labor relations policies and procedures. Ensure that company policies are communicated effectively to employees and management.Team Management:

Lead and mentor a team of labor relations professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the labor relations team.Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as a liaison between the company and external labor relations stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and industry groups. Represent the company in labor relations forums, conferences, and other industry events.Qualifications:Education:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master's or Juris Doctor) preferred.Experience:

Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in labor relations or equivalent, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience managing labor relations in a publicly traded company or a large, complex organization.Skills and Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and best practices.
