Assistant Director of Marketing and CommunicationsStart Date: October 15, 2024 (or TBD)The Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications (ADMC), a full-time position, helps promote external and internal awareness and understanding of the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur and all that it has to offer. The ADMC will aid in driving interest from new families considering the Academy for their daughters, current families understanding the value of a Notre Dame education, and alumnae remaining connected to their alma mater. Through the website, print marketing materials, and more, the ADMC will bring a fresh perspective to the creation of visual and print content, helping to distinguish Notre Dame as the leader in independent, Catholic, all-girls' education. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, the ADMC will help to ensure brand compliance by members of the internal community and work to increase and expand awareness of the Academy in the broader community.Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Academy’s administration, faculty and staff to establish and implement ongoing strategic and innovative marketing plans designed to achieve institutional goals and support the Academy’s Mission.Collaborate and coordinate to ensure consistency in messaging and integrate brand identity throughout the Academy.Coordinate, review, and oversee all uses of the Notre Dame brand.Build relationships with the ND community to discover and share stories that connect with existing and prospective audiences.Assist with the production and management of the production calendar of the School’s publications, both print and electronic, as well as other longer-lead special projects.Job Duties:Responsible for the Academy’s written publications and collateral materials that enhance and sustain the brand of the Academy.Responsible for ensuring all publications and materials remain cutting-edge and highly innovative in the marketplace and functions as editor-in-chief.Conduct interviews, compile information, and gather data to support the writing for which they are responsible.Oversee the design and production of print materials and publications, requiring robust editing skills, experience writing press releases, and making presentations.Responsible for the Academy’s website content ensuring that the Academy’s presence remains cutting-edge and innovative in the marketplace.Monitor, analyze, interpret, and communicate website traffic and usage trends by providing routine reports to the Director of Enrollment Management.Make recommendations for strategic improvements to the website based on data, trends, and goals.Maintain and improve ND’s website with stakeholder input and analytics to improve site architecture, functionality, and content as needed.Complete routine updates to the website. Liaise with platform vendor on fixes or updates as needed.Develop new web pages and content to support special projects as they arise.Manage school community communications including ND Weekly and ND Summer Newsletter.Partner with the Information Resources and Technologies department to maintain up-to-date information and maximum user experience on the Academy’s Veracross Portals.Support the Head of School with communication to internal constituencies and external audiences through ND publications, local/regional publications, and other media outlets.Support the efforts of the Advancement Office assisting with direct mail appeals, campaign materials, communications, and events. Oversees all promotional marketing of Advancement events.Job Expectations & Requirements:Superior communication skills, oral and written.High-level copy editing for school communications.Knowledge and experience with Adobe Suite and Google Workspace (G Suite) required.Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work well with both internal and external constituencies, effectively representing the Academy of Notre Dame.Be an active member of the community, participate in the life of the school, including occasional evening and weekend events.Ability to establish work priorities, meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously and plan strategically and creatively.Demonstrate a desire to continually improve, learn, and collaborate with colleagues.Strong video and photography skills. Graphic design experience preferred, Adobe Creative Suite knowledge a plus.Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) strongly preferred.Education:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), preferably in communications, journalism, English, marketing or related field.Experience:

Two to three years of related experience.Other:Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Daily. Weekend and evening hours as necessary to cover/support Academy events. A once daily check of email is expected on weekends and holiday breaks.To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to Maria Gunn at
