Founded in 1856 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, the school is the only all-girls’ independent Catholic academy on the Main Line outside Philadelphia, dedicated to teaching young women “what they need to know for life” in preparation for responsible living in a global society.The

leads a dynamic engagement program that establishes and fosters lifelong relationships between and amongst more than 4,000 alumnae and the Academy. The Director works collaboratively to develop and implement a comprehensive program that strengthens loyalty, nurtures a sense of community amongst alumnae, provides meaningful opportunities for engagement through programming, volunteering and special events, and inspires increasing levels of participation and investment in the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur.JOB DUTIES:Develop and execute comprehensive alumnae engagement strategy and continually explore ways to improve its effectiveness to increase engagement with the Academy.Plan and execute a yearly calendar of alumnae programs and events both regionally and on-campus.Develop and manage an alumnae communications plan, including newsletters, social media, and other outreach efforts.Provide effective leadership to, guidance of, and support for the Alumnae Association Executive Committee and ensure that the goals are aligned with the Academy’s mission and priorities.Plan and execute Reunion Weekend, including marketing, logistics, program development, and working with reunion volunteers to maximize participation.In partnership with Advancement colleagues, work with assigned reunion class(es) to meet reunion giving goals.Utilize data to determine the best use of resources for alumnae engagement and develop plans for the program.Manage the alumnae engagement budget and resources effectively, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of funds.In collaboration with Marketing & Communications, oversee the class notes section of the bi-annual magazine.In conjunction with Advancement colleagues, oversee Alumnae Recognition programs.Help maintain a current and accurate alumnae database, updating information regarding address changes, business information, education, marriages, births, deaths, etc.Support Advancement events in the evenings and weekends, as needed.Perform other tasks as assigned.EDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree required.EXPERIENCE:Three to five years experience with alumnae, development, event planning, or volunteer management experience, preferably within an educational or non-profit setting.COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Proven track record of meaningful alumnae engagement activity.Proven track record of successfully managing volunteers to achieve the desired goal.Experience developing and managing alumnae councils.Superior organizational and communication skills.Dynamic and positive mindset.Strong proficiency in the use of technology, database programs, and both Office suite and Google suite of programs.Self-starter, excellent problem solver, strategic thinker.Team player with ability to work independently.OTHER:Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Daily.Position requires some travel and a commitment to working evenings and weekends as necessary.A once daily check of email is expected on weekends and holiday breaks.To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to Wendy Waltman at wwaltman@ndapa.org.
