The School was founded in 1851 and is located in the heart of Silicon Valley, on over 10 acres of land in Belmont, California. NDB seeks to appoint a dynamic and committed Director of Advancement to partner with the faculty and board of directors to accelerate the advancement of the School.POSITION OVERVIEWWe seek a dynamic and experienced Director of Advancement to lead our efforts in cultivating and stewarding relationships with donors, alumnae, and community partners. The successful candidate will be crucial in advancing Notre Dame High School's mission by overseeing fundraising initiatives, donor engagement programs, and strategic partnerships.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFundraising Leadership:Develop, direct, and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies for the school’s annual fund campaign, capital campaign, alumnae giving, planned giving, major gifts, and fundraising events.Alumnae Engagement:Lay the groundwork for creating a robust alumnae-giving program and develop strong relationships with alumnae.Communication and Marketing:Collaborate with the marketing and communications manager to create compelling materials communicating the school's mission and fundraising priorities.Strategic Partnerships:Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with local businesses and organizations.Donor Stewardship:Ensure timely and personalized acknowledgment of donations and implement stewardship initiatives.Parent Relations:Oversee and manage the Dads Club and Moms Club.Other:Ensure productive working relationships with other school administrators and manage the department budget.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.Minimum of five years of successful experience in fundraising and development.Knowledge of and commitment to Catholic education and values.Proven track record of securing major gifts and meeting fundraising goals.Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.Experience in managing fundraising events and campaigns.Strategic thinking and ability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies.High-energy, self-starter with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.Able to work some evenings and weekends.Proficient in using Raisers Edge NXT.
