Director, Software Engineering (multiple positions available)Salesforce Inc. has multiple job openings for Director, Software Engineering in Seattle, WA:Job Duties
Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Lead, mentor, guide, and grow a team of talented engineers building scalable, performant, secure, and feature-rich services. Help design and roll-out internal process workflows and metrics. Provide guidance and coaching to help teams understand and follow best practices. Drive execution and delivery by collaborating with cross-functional teams, architects, product owners, and engineers. Prepare and analyze large volumes of customer, product, marketing, sales, and system activity data and recommend possible upgrades for top executives to consider. Assess the costs and benefits of new projects and measure, interpret, and scale the continuous improvement of processes and business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical design specifications and implementation plans. Support ongoing business performance and trends analyses as required to inform management decisions.Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related field of study, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in related field OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related field of study, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or in any occupation in related field.A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).Special Skill Requirements
Object-oriented programming (Java and Python)SOAP and REST APIsSoftware Quality/TestingSQLAmazon Web Services (AWS)Database Management SystemsIntegration and ETL technologiesMachine LearningAny suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is permitted.Salary
