We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Commercial Accounting team. This role manages the accounting, reporting and governance processes. The role requires close partnership with our business contacts to coordinate and deliver key results, project initiatives and documentation. In addition, the manager will need to actively engage in a dynamic business environment to ensure consistent process execution and delivery.Responsibilities:
Lead a team of associates to elevate performance and embrace Capital One ValuesReview and present monthly, quarterly and other ad hoc analytics for Line of Business, Accounting and Finance leadershipPartner and coordinate with upstream and downstream partners to understand and deliver accurate key results, project initiatives and documentationReview monthly journal entries and reconciliationsReview monthly and quarterly SEC and Regulatory Reporting as well as other ad hoc reporting requestsMonitor the status of Tax Credit Investment/Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) product offerings, business initiatives and efficiency projects to determine the impact on existing processes, as well as VIE/Consolidation reportingBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or military experienceAt least 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or a combinationPreferred Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification7+ years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or a combination7+ years of experience in Tax Credit Investment, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) experience, or a combination3+ years of experience coaching/mentoring people3+ years of experience implementing process improvement projectsAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
