Viridian Staffing's (www.viridianstaffing.com) Client is looking for an exceptional people manager to be their Head of Cultivation for an indoor grow operation in the Eugene, Oregon, area.Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing is the premier staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry.Responsibilities:
Lead and organize all cultivation activities in the grow operation.Direct and oversee employee activities from propagation, planting, and cultivating to irrigation, harvesting, and record keeping.Refine and enforce existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to advance the Company's mission.Ensure adherence to compliance and safety regulations using knowledge of Oregon Cannabis regulations and OSHA rules.Plan and direct operations for optimum quality crop production using proven experience with various grow mediums.Hire, train, and coach employees in all aspects of the grow operation.Qualifications:
5+ years of successful commercial cannabis cultivation experience.At least 2+ years of experience as a people manager in a cultivation environment.Experience managing indoor cultivation facilities of at least 15k+ square feet of canopy with multiple flowering rooms.Experience with both HPS and LED lighting.Degree in horticulture or agronomy is preferred.Expertise in climate control and directing crop planning and scheduling.Understanding of the climate complexities of the Pacific Northwest is preferred.Compensation: Starting at $65K/year + BonusViridian Enterprises LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
