Financial Planning Analyst

provides the primary support for the financial planning and analysis function for the US Consumer Products Services, specifically the US Healthcare activity for ATL (Cincinnati) and Galbraith (Knoxville) laboratories. Acts as a business partner with local and US Healthcare leadership by providing finance information, analysis, and reporting, supporting strategic and growth activities, advising on operations and financial improvements.Duties and Responsibilities:It is everyone’s responsibility to live out our Values and Absolutesby Shaping a World of Trust while ensuring responsible progress.Assists in coordinating financial statements for monthly close, including analysis of results, reporting and advising on areas of interest inside the results.Assists in developing and coordinating the forecast and annual budget processes.Perform regular analyses on costs and productivity and interpret information on variances versus targets.Prepare recommendations and work with local management for improvement actions.Plan all necessary tasks to ensure that deadlines are met.Works closely with operations to gain the best understanding of the business units and how they operate to better analyze and report on the effectiveness of said operations.Other duties as defined by Manager, department needs and workload.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. Excellent Excel skill level required.Self-motivated and self-managed with high degree of honesty, integrity, and work ethic.Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment.Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills.Possess an energetic commitment to work and quality.Individual and Team work ethic.Positive attitude, self-motivated, high level of engagement.Adheres to company values.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or closely related field.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a closely related role.JD Edwards ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software experience a plus.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
