IP Network Support Specialist

DescriptionWe are seeking an IP Network Support Specialist to join our team providing GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to the Department of Defense and national security organizations. This role will directly support the DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24x7 DISA Global Operations Center (DGOC).Job Description:We have an opening for an IP Network Support Specialist in our Enterprise SATCOM Gateway Services (ESGS) Operations Support Cell. The primary responsibilities include:Create and update tickets using DISA ticketing applications to track and resolve customer network issues.Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time on a 24/7 basis.Provide IP network support including configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and voice equipment.Assist with IP satellite modem support and configuration.Work with DoD SATCOM Gateway facilities and operators to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.Perform global equipment configurations at DoD SATCOM Gateways utilizing the Satellite Access Authorization (SAA) and Gateway Access Authorization (GAA).Basic Qualifications:Must have DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification.Ability to work in a 24/7 operations environment.Moderate understanding and experience with Satellite Communications (SATCOM) architecture and signal flow.Currently possess an active Secret security clearance.Required Education and Experience:High school diploma and 2-4 years of experience.
