Director of Supply Chain

to join the BAR DIVISION at our ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA location. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Summary of Position:The Director, Global Supply Chain is responsible for realizing the strategic objectives for the supply chain function through assessment, clear planning, and effective execution. This position requires a thorough understanding of supply chain operations, planning, and analytics including working capital optimization, logistics, distribution, ERP systems, data mining, and modeling. The position will manage a team of professionals responsible for all aspects of supply and demand planning and materials management including the Warehouse and Transportation. This role will oversee all interactions with Nellson customers and manage the local Customer Service function.Essential Functions:Ownership for Ontario S&OP processManage planning and inventory control processes. Collaborate with Commercial stakeholders on forecastingOptimize Ontario inventory levels to meet customer service, business continuity, and cost objectives throughout the global distribution network linking suppliers, manufacturing plants, warehouses, distributors, and customersThis position coordinates global supply chain product availability, issues, and performance, working with all appropriate functional areas of the companyLeads a team of planners, Material Management, Transportation, Warehouse, Customer Service, and the MRP processSet local policy for conduct of inventory and planning activities, objectives, and goals with ultimate alignment of organization around meeting customer objectivesLead communication between SCM and other functions for supply and demand issue resolutionDevelop inventory management policy and translate that into working models to drive solutionsManage all aspects of product status in order to meet customer order requirementsProvide team leadership and guidance to accurately track each product through the supply chain process at OntarioDevelop process maps, cycle times, and assist in cycle time optimization to increase inventory velocityOwnership of establishing and delivering Ontario inventory velocity targets (DOS, turns, inventory $’s)Manage global scrap, SLOB, inventory accuracy, and other inventory KPIs at the site.Develop and report on complementary metrics including forecast accuracy, S&OP cycle adherence, etc.Customer delivery performance, LIFR, perfect order fulfillment – on-time and complete shipments to customersOther Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain department budgetAssist in Capital Equipment planning and purchasingCommunicate with team members, supervisor, and members of other departments, as appropriate, to assure prompt resolution of problemsAssist in staff development and mentorship in areas such as cGMP training, technical skills, and safetyIdentify the technical, procedural, and equipment issues that hinder production and complianceInform support departments and manager as neededIdentify deviations and follow through on corrective and preventative actions (variances)Review and make recommendations for change to cGMP documentation such as SOPsComply with all safety policies, practices, and proceduresEducation and/or Experience10+ years’ experience in supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution functionExperience with Customer interaction and managing Customer Service function.Experience managing teams with 5+ years supervisory rolesBachelor's degree from four-year College or university.
