Help Sr. Analytical Scientist to manage all analytical needs for R&D and pilot plant operationsHelp Sr. Analytical Scientist to manage analytical platforms and associated data analysis pipelines for R&D and QA/QC.Work with R&D and engineering teams to develop suitable analytical methods and deliver quality results from analysis answering questions from protein characterization, flavor chemistry, and product research efforts.Perform routine tests assigned by Sr. Analytical Scientist.Be a leader and holder of analytical data repository and work with project leads to support research projects.Communicate findings and work with R&D team to identify and execute analytical measurements.Maintain operational excellence and be responsible for the analytical facility, including instrument maintenance, scheduling, user training, and support.Responsible for LIMS.Mentor and train junior analytical research associates.Knowledge and Experience:Experience in working on analytical characterization of volatile and non-volatile chemistry in complex food matrices, such as protein, carbohydrate, and lipids.Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience working in a cross-functional environment.Strong communication and people skills to successfully influence and collaborate with teams with diverse scientific backgrounds to implement analytical chemistry best practices for existing and planned future research efforts.Experience with LC/MS and GCMS instrumentation; comfortable working with various instrument platforms and vendors.The ability to identify the appropriate analytical solution to a given problem through strong expertise in rheology, texture, sensory analysis, and chromatography methods.Education:PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Chemistry, or related field with 2 years of food industry experience, or MS with 5+ years of experience in food chemistry under industrial settings.Languages:Excellent verbal and written communication in English.Other skills and competencies:Expertise in scientific programming and analytical database management software is a plus.Experience managing and developing small molecule and proteomic data analysis.Drive to establish and maintain scientific and operational excellence.What We Offer:Comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, and vision care coverage, flexible spending account plans, employee assistance program, life insurance, and disability coverage.401k with Company Match.Family Friendly Benefits including childbirth and parental leave, fertility, and family building benefits.Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays.Hybrid work available (not applicable to all roles).Diversity & Inclusion:LDC is driven by a set of shared values and high ethical standards, with diversity and inclusion being part of our DNA.
