In this role, you will lead the fundraising efforts for our foundation, ensuring the growth and sustainability of our mission.Key ResponsibilitiesFundraising Leadership: Plan, organize, and direct a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including major gifts, annual campaigns, planned giving, special events, and capital campaigns, in alignment with our policies and relevant regulations.Donor Relations: Oversee and maintain the donor database while fostering strong relationships with current and prospective donors through regular communication and appreciation efforts.Program Development: Implement an annual development program that aligns with the goals set by our Board of Directors, CEO, and CFO.Team Supervision: Manage the Assistant Director of Development and collaborate effectively to achieve fundraising goals.Major Gifts Program: Expand our major gifts initiative by identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major donors.Annual Fund Management: Direct the annual fund program, including mailings and fundraising drives, to engage donors effectively.Planned Giving: Build and promote a planned giving program, focusing on deferred gifts such as bequests.Grant Management: Research and apply for grants and public funding opportunities, while overseeing the grant-seeking process, including proposal writing and reporting.Special Events: Plan and execute fundraising events that not only raise funds but also engage the community and cultivate future donors.Strategic Planning: Develop fundraising strategies that address the needs of future projects outlined in our strategic plan, ensuring long-term financial health.Market Awareness: Stay informed about trends in philanthropy and tax regulations to innovate and adapt our fundraising efforts.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.Proven experience in planned giving and grant writing.Demonstrated ability to create successful annual fundraising events that build donor relationships.Experience in soliciting gifts at significant levels (six and seven figures).Strong budgeting skills and goal accomplishment.Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine enjoyment of engaging with people.Proficient in communication, social media, and graphic design tools.Equal Opportunity StatementWe are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
