The NG-MIP program is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through an individual internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days.Responsibilities for this internship position are:Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has developed the Northrop Grumman – Military Internship Program (DoD SkillBridge) utilizing the DoDI guidance for SkillBridge. During this program, the service member will be on-site at his or her host company performing an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career type role. Rancho Bernardo, CA or Palmdale CA .This position may be filled by either an Electrical Engineer level or a Principal Electrical Engineer level based on the qualifications listed.The candidate will be expected to thoroughly understand all system requirements, specifications, and interface control documents, prepare, monitor, and update program schedules, conduct and participate in all related design reviews, and provide technical guidance to the cross-functional team.Essential Functions:Electronic design of avionics used on military aircraftGathering of data, requirements development, interfacing with suppliers and briefing customerActing as manufacturing liaison during build process of your project to ensure overall quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achievedSupport integration of avionics on military aircraftBasic knowledge of design and analysis tools for electronic designBasic Qualifications:For – Electrical Engineer (T02):Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience OR Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 0 years of experience for T02.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or higher security clearance.For – Principal Electrical Engineer (T03):Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience OR Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of experience OR 0 years’ experience with PhD for T03.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or higher security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Current, active in-scope DoD Secret or higher security clearanceProficiency with Matlab, Simulink, DOORSAbility to communicate clearly and effectivelyAbility to lead fellow engineers on technical effortsExperience performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Salary Range:

$87,200 - $130,800Salary Range 2:
