About the Role

Recruiting Specialist ! In this crucial role, you'll develop and implement public relations strategies to recruit and train volunteers for the CASA program, ensuring that abused and neglected children have a voice in court. This position works under the direction of the Director of the Allen County Office of GAL/CASA and offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on children's lives.

This is a grant-funded, employee-at-will position supervised by the Allen Superior Court, Family Relations Division.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute public relations and marketing strategies to recruit CASA volunteers within budget constraints.Make public appearances and presentations to promote the CASA program and recruit volunteer advocates.Write press releases and maintain relationships with media outlets (TV, radio, print, online) to promote CASA's mission.Design print materials and visuals for presentations that align with CASA's branding guidelines.Oversee and manage CASA's website and social media presence with regular updates and posts.Maintain communication with potential volunteers and assist in screening, interviewing, and training volunteer advocates.Plan, schedule, and organize ongoing training and recognition activities for CASA volunteers.Track recruitment activities and data for grant reporting.Document volunteer information in CASA's case management system, Optima.Perform additional duties as assigned, including overtime when necessary.Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.Minimum of five years of relevant experience, including public relations and volunteer recruitment.Experience in training adult learners is preferred.Strong knowledge of social media platforms, event planning, and website management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A strong understanding of the Allen Superior Court CHINS process is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office and online design software like Canva.Must have a valid driver's license.Work Environment

The role primarily takes place in an office setting, with frequent travel to events and public appearances. The Recruiting Specialist may encounter emotional, hostile, or aggressive individuals. Some lifting (up to 20 pounds), sitting, and frequent typing are required.
