Role Overview

Hillel International is seeking a motivated, detail-focused, and passionate Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic Direct Response Fundraising team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a people-first, high-performing team that cares for each other and inspires one another to excel.

The Direct Response Fundraising team works with a broad audience to support hundreds of thousands of Jewish college students in the U.S. and around the globe by raising critically needed funds through direct response fundraising channels. This position will report directly to the Associate Vice President of Direct Response Marketing & Fundraising.

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will support the work of our team to connect with prospective and current donors through a variety of digital channels, including email, social media, paid search, and SMS. This position will help plan, create, and assess multichannel fundraising campaigns including Giving Tuesday, End of Year, High Holidays, Hillel Global Giving Week, and several more. In addition, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will partner with our philanthropic advancement team, promoting events and other fundraising initiatives to a target audience.

Top candidates will have a strong background in digital marketing and/or fundraising, expertise in designing aesthetically pleasing emails, outstanding skills in creating graphics for email, social media, and other digital platforms, superior writing and editing skills, and experience in creating digital forms. The ideal candidates will have a team-first attitude, with the ability to work independently and take both direction and initiative.What You'll DoSupport the work of our robust communications strategy, including email newsletters, appeals, and stewardship pieces - within our team and in collaboration with othersCreate a variety of donation and lead generation forms, helping to engage potential donors and drive conversionCreate beautiful and effective multichannel content and marketing materials using tools like Canva, including designing graphics for email, social, reports and moreManage and track projects, including various digital campaignsContribute to Hillel's growing SMS campaigns, reaching donors through text-to-give efforts and stewardship outreachCoordinate stewardship and follow-up with our quickly growing community of monthly donors, ensuring we communicate in a timely way with current and prospective sustainersWorking with vendors to ensure smooth communication and provide or request resources as neededCreate content for fundraising campaigns for email, Hillel's website, text-to-give, and other digital/social media platformsPartner with our philanthropic advancement team to implement and execute digital campaigns that promote fundraising events to major donors and other stakeholder audiences.Who we're looking for1-3 years of work experience in marketing, fundraising, communications, public relations, or similar field1-2 years of project management experienceKnowledge of email marketing software such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and/or PardotTrack record of producing engaging original content for digital media, including email headers, web content, GIFs, and moreSignificant experience using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or similar programs to create captivating, original design workStrong organizational and planning skills; familiarity using project management software such as Asana, AirTable, Trello, Notion, or othersInterest in or connection to Jewish lifeA sense of curiosity, a drive to succeed, and a willingness to learn and growThese skills are not required, but would be a plus:Working knowledge of HTML5 or comparable programming languagePowerPoint/Google Slides presentationsExperience creating Facebook and Instagram AdsGeneral experience with SMS as a channel, specifically peer-to-peer text messaging campaignsFamiliarity with Classy or other form creation platforms such as Jotform, FormAssembly, etc.What You'll GetCompetitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace.
