Summary:

WAMU 88.5 is the leading public radio station in the greater Washington, D.C. area. We provide in-depth and enterprise reporting alongside essential daily news and information that aims to reflect and serve the diverse communities of our region. The Digital Fundraising Manager manages and executes WAMU's digital fundraising program to achieve revenue goals, retain donors, and convert donors to monthly giving. They will be responsible for acquiring and engaging with members through owned, organic, and paid digital channels including email, search, social media, texting, and other relevant platforms as they emerge. This is a revenue generating position with annual fundraising goals.

1.) Digital Fundraising Implementation

Execute omnichannel fundraising communications and campaigns, including writing copy and basic graphic design for email, website, paid and organic social media, digital display, and search.Write, design, and build fundraising and impact emails, including drafting of emails for different voices, e.g., leadership or hosts.Develop engaging email templates, test and measure their performance, and make modifications to ensure best results.Create fundraising content for WAMU social media, post content to social platforms, and manage social media advertising accounts to acquire new donors and raise donor engagement.Build and deploy landing pages, website pop-ups, lightboxes, banners, and other digital elements.Manage tracking and reporting of digital channels.2.) Digital Fundraising Strategy

Develop and execute digital fundraising strategy across all WAMU channels.Create digital fundraising calendar in coordination with members of the marketing, development, and content teams to maintain a cadence of solicitation and impact communications, as well as amplify opportunities based on WAMU programming, events, hosts, and relevant current events.Establish and benchmark digital performance KPIs.Coordinate with other stakeholders to manage revenue and expenses for maximizing return on investment, convert through digital channels, acquire new donors, and retain existing donors.Set goals for paid search and social media advertising, as well as implementing ad buys through WAMU's Google Ad Grant and external vendors.Maintains digital best practices across all fundraising channels.Analyze data to measure success of strategies, identify areas for investment, redirect underperforming programs, and present results and recommendations to departmental and station leadership.Collaborate with other advancement staff to develop and support major on-air campaigns.3.) Fundraising Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with the products and platforms team to manage digital properties in support of fundraising goals, including analysis of performance through Google Marketing Platform.Coordinate with other members of marketing team to ensure website and social media reflect our current fundraising messaging, appeals, and goals.Support on-air campaigns with multi-channel engagement to enhance the donor journey.Work with other members of the team to manage WAMU's presence in NPR apps, including refreshing testimonials and marketing promotions.Competencies:

$58,656 - $75,744 annually.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in digital marketing deployment and fundraising.2-4 years experience in email and multi-channel digital marketing.Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree, Google certificate.5 years experience in online/digital marketing, direct response marketing campaigns or related interactive customer relationship management.Travel Required:

Possible travel to conferences.Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Experience managing large multi-channel digital fundraising campaigns and projects in coordination with many stakeholders.Strong digital copywriting skills. Must be able to draft punch, motivating copy with clear cases for giving and calls-to-action.Hands-on experience with:eCRM or CRM platforms such as Salesforce or MailchimpWordPress or other content management systemsCanva, Adobe Express, Adobe Photoshop, or Adobe IllustratorGoogle Analytics and Google AdsMeta Business ManagerBasic HTML and CSS knowledge

Familiarity with reporting, testing, and optimization tools.Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and opportunities.Ability to self-direct daily activities and set priorities.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to build and adhere to both strategic and tactical plans.Ability to analyze and interpret relevant data and use interpretations in the development of campaign models.Benefits
