What's in it for you:Monday - Friday: 8AM - 5PMPay Rate:$32.06 - $38.19/hr.Duration: 3 - 6-month assignmentThe job essentials:
Ensures purchase orders protect agency's interests and uphold policies and procedures.Develops understanding of internal customer's budgeting needs and procedures; provides pricing estimates for line items.Reviews requisitions for funding availability and account code accuracy.Reviews and assesses scopes of work and specifications; prepares Requests for Quotes and Invitation for Bids; evaluates bids and quotations; participates in evaluation committee meetings and may conduct vendor interviews.Offers input in developing specifications and scopes of work; determines appropriate procurement methods and develops individual procurement schedules.Negotiates and issues basic contracts and purchase orders; prepares basic contract amendments, revisions, and close-outs.Confers with customers to get information, resolve questions.Analyzes purchasing history of inventory parts, goods, and services.Determines or recommends awards of bids.Expedites purchase orders deliveries.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or public administration and a minimum of 3 years of professional governmental purchasing experienceExperience using Ellipse
