Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The role involves planning new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, ensuring access for future maintenance, and avoiding unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes. Responsibilities include preparing sketches, following diagrams or blueprints, measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing electrical conduit. Additional tasks include splicing wires, connecting wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment, installing control and distribution apparatus, testing continuity of circuits, observing the functioning of installed equipment, and repairing faulty equipment or systems.

Hard Skills

At least 5 years of experience in Commercial Electrical work

Experience with Medium voltage up to 255V

Bending Conduit

Strong Blueprint capabilities

Connecting wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment

Connecting power cables to equipment

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Lorain, Ohio.

Work Environment

Projects/work will be in commercial/industrial settings, all within a 1-hour radius of Lorain, OH. The majority of projects will be on the east side of Lorain. Multiple high-profile jobs will be taking place simultaneously, and candidates could be at a different job site every day. The shift is Monday to Friday, typically starting at 6-7 AM and ending at 3-4 PM, based on the project. Pay ranges from $32-$42/hr. This is a direct hire or contract-to-hire position.
