McKenzie Electric Cooperative (MEC) is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for Executive Assistant.

This full-time, benefited position will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support in a timely, accurate, confidential, and quality manner to the CEO and Board of Directors. The selected candidate will support the mission of MEC and make our members first priority.

Responsibilities

include, but are not limited to, the following:Provides direct support for the CEO and Board of Directors.Handles confidential correspondence and inter-company communications.Maintains the CEO's calendar and drafts correspondence for the CEO in accordance with oral/written instruction.Completes and maintains the Board correspondence in addition to maintaining a record of information to be reviewed by the Board of Directors, preparation of board agenda, and coordination of information for the board to review, follows up regarding same.Maintains and creates detailed attention items for the CEO to address.Communicates with the Cooperative attorneys and other stakeholders as necessary.Maintains and organizes CEO documents and files for orderly operation and upcoming meetings, presentations, community events.Acts as the main point of contact for the CEO.Completes special projects as assigned by the CEO.Aids in the developing and maintaining policies.Assists in activities associated with Operations Roundup.Assists in scheduling and maintaining appointments, travel and training for CEO and Board of Directors.Works with Member Services for various publication needs.Research, update, and/or create various draft agreements as needed.Schedules and arranges various meetings including employee, manager, Board and member meetings. May assist with scheduling and arranging of other Cooperative meetings.Uses knowledge of company policies and procedures to provide accurate information to the staff, board of directors and public.Exercises sound judgment in handling sensitive matters.Interacts on a regular basis with senior management and board members. Provides support as needed for senior management.Is routinely entrusted with highly confidential information. As required, may direct other office clerical personnel.Attends and participates in training programs for improvement of job knowledge, skill and safety.Assists in management functions of organizing, budgeting, coordinating and controlling the administrative activities of the Cooperative in accordance with established budgets, policies, plans and objectives.Processes invoices as necessary, may purchase material, services, etc. on behalf of MEC.May assist the Accounting Department and Human Resource Department with special projects or support as needed.Completes necessary public filing or notifications as assigned for various cooperative activities and regulations.Attends board meetings, takes and maintains accurate meeting minutes.Maintains a system of record including applicable job duties, files, file structure, and other areas of business.Other duties as assigned by the CEO and Board of Directors.

Education/Experience:

Associate degree in a related field with 3+ years experience; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and Abilities:Competent in administrative support functions.Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge and understanding of utility practices such as accounting, work plans, procedures and policies a plus.

Compensation:

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
