with interest in complex litigation matters.This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with litigation experience who are looking for new challenges and an opportunity to expand their skillset within a Texas municipal law firm!Compensation & Benefits:The firm offers a comprehensive benefit package along with a North Dallas location.Exceptional Salary will be based on experience level!The Position:As a Litigation Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for providing high level legal analysis with respect to complex procedural and strategic issues in state and federal courts, drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, and discovery as to form and procedural content, preparing procedure road maps for upcoming court filings, advising attorneys and clients on all matters of court rules, civil procedure, filing protocol, and the calculation of deadlines, and attend hearings and meetings with clients.Duties & Responsibilities:Independently managing a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end.Working closely with other attorneys and Partners on legal projects.Regularly handling court appearances and depositions.Communicating with clients and provide status reports.Using Westlaw and other research platforms to provide high level legal research with respect to procedural and strategic issues.Preparing roadmaps to guide attorneys through procedural and logistical elements of complete court filing, flagging procedural intricacies, highlighting strategic opportunities, and providing best practices based on judicial preferences.Overseeing and performing calendaring functions related to litigation deadlines for all contested matters and regularly communicating deadlines to attorneys.Overseeing and performing court services functions, such as researching and retrieval of court documents in paper and electronic databases; reviewing and filing of clients and Firm court documents in paper and electronic form; and coordinating the use of process servers for the office.Qualifications:J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.A current bar admission.Minimum of 2-4+ years of experience as a practicing litigation attorney or an attorney currently employed in a city or county government court environment.Trial and trial preparation experience is a plus!Superior written and oral communication skills.
