Job Overview:A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate should have litigation experience in Texas state courts, particularly in defending personal injury and/or wrongful death lawsuits in practice areas such as transportation/trucking, construction, premises liability, product liability, or energy. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in Texas.

Duties:

Represent clients in state court litigation proceedings, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.

Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant case law and statutes.

Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as required.

Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client communication.

Prepare for and participate in trial proceedings as necessary.

Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Active license to practice law in the state of Texas.

3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in the specified practice areas.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

Litigation experience in Texas state courts, Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses, Legal research and analysis skills, Effective communication and negotiation skills, Trial preparation and courtroom experience, Case management and organizational abilities.
