Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload involving civil litigation matters, including but not limited to commercial disputes, employment law, personal injury, and contract disputes.
Conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents.
Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Collaborate with partners, senior associates, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on litigation and dispute resolution strategies.
Maintain communication with clients and provide regular updates on case progress.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations in all aspects of litigation.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on civil litigation.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality client service.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in drafting and arguing motions.
Trial experience is a plus.
Familiarity with California state and federal court procedures.
Education and Certifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the California State Bar.
