Nichols, Jackson, Dillard, Hager & Smith, LLP is seeking an experienced municipal attorney to join our team in our Dallas office. This position provides legal services encompassing a wide range of municipal laws with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include attending city council meetings and other public meetings, municipal ordinances and resolutions, economic development agreements, vendor contracts, open records requests and litigation. The position requires the ability to build effective working relationships with all levels of staff, city officials, government agencies and the general public. Experience in representing local governmental entities or working for a municipality with an understanding of local government processes is desired.
Requirements:Currently licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of TexasMinimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing in the areas of municipal lawAbility to make clear and convincing oral and written presentations
