Job Summary

The Plant Improvement Manager is responsible for providing technical support and building capabilities of the manufacturing operations for the Infrastructure Products Group (IPG). This subject matter expert will provide equipment expertise on formwork, tooling and equipment. You will be a key partner to troubleshoot and train operators at plants on advancement, replacement, maintenance, and instruction.

Job Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Establish close working relationships with manufacturing personnel to ensure safety, quality, and productivity requirements are met by providing technical training and technical assistanceFacilitate communication forums for plant-based subject matter experts and provide technical assistance to plant management and engineering staff who will manage non-major projectsEnsure that the policies, practices, and equipment running in plants comply the Operational Excellence framework and best practicesIdentify and manage innovation opportunities for operationsLead preparation of assigned capital project white papers and scopes in cooperation with local and business leadership teamsAdminister standards for next-level plant design that support long-term commercial strategiesLead hyper care of large capital projects to ensure a seamless transition into plant operationsIdentify and support sustainability opportunities inside operationsWork with Engineering, Operations, Safety, Quality on new equipment LOTO procedures and practicesDevelop and execute standard processes to evaluate, procure, assess, and install new plant equipmentConduct operational audits as requested by your managerJob Requirements

Minimum of 10 years' experience in manufacturing environment. A detailed knowledge of applicable processes and associated equipment is essentialExcellent communication and organizational skillsBuilding products experience desiredPrevious experience leading equipment installation and/or construction projects in an industrial environmentUse and understanding of Microsoft Office programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and ProjectSkilled in facility layout and design, regulatory requirements, process improvement and team problem solving methodsAbility to lead cross-functional initiatives, drive high performance, meeting deadlines, and execute on deliverablesAbility to lead multiple complex projects simultaneouslyWorking knowledge and experience with project management software programsStrong organizational and communication skillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (electrical, civil, or mechanical preferred)Strong interpersonal and organizational influencing skillsCompensation
