JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION

The Partners and Events Manager is responsible for exercising leadership and flawless execution for all tradeshows, conferences, and events, as well as identifying, developing, and fostering crucial industry partnerships for ECRS and the Marketing department. This role collaborates with many internal and external stakeholders to effectively strategize, market, coordinate, execute, and report on all tradeshows and events. This role is responsible for how ECRS' brand and products are represented to customers and prospects through tradeshows and partnerships. This role requires a high level of competency in organization, communication, relationship-building, and independent work.RESPONSIBILITIES

Successfully organize, plan, and execute annual events and tradeshows. Including but not limited to:

Industry User Conferences, ECRS's Ignite Retail Success Conference, Tradeshows, Webinars, and Networking and Prospect Events

Develop marketing plans and draft content foreach event, including target audience, webpage and email content, and distribution plan.

Effectively lead and execute the annual planning of ECRS' Ignite Retail Success Conference including attendance, sponsorships, breakout sessions, logistics, and more.

Create, build, and maintain external strategic partnerships within the grocery-retail industry.

Understand organizational makeup of various industry partners/associations/companies to gain maximum influence and exposure.

Develop, launch, and oversee industry partner programs that generate new customer revenue.

Leverage external strategic partnerships to deliver marketing strategies, networking opportunities, lead generation, and other high impact results outlined by ECRS and department goals, including but not limited to the following activities:

Coordinating webinars and/or events for partners' organizations by working with the partner contact and ECRS Managing Director of Marketing.

Listening for opportunities to promote ECRS products in new, creative ways with industry partners that go beyond tradeshows or conferences.

Extending ECRS' marketing reach by collaborating with industry partners, understanding their specific organizational needs to identify opportunities to promote ECRS products and services, and devising a strategic promotional plan.

Manage post-show reporting, budget management, and annual ROI report including summary of expenses vs. budget, sales, # of leads qualified, and future recommendations for level of participation, logistics, and marketing content for the next trade show.

Oversee all event tactics, planning, and execution including venue searches, contracts, food and beverage, logistics, signage, shipping, and budgeting for external customer events, as well as internal events.

Manage tradeshow processes from scheduling to completion (booth space, registrations, booth duty schedule, associated special events, collateral, shipping, booth graphics, etc.) for all assigned trade shows.

Work closely with Sales team on tradeshow event scheduling and coordination including coordinating with the lead ECRS attendee assigned to each show.

Travel up to40% of the time to attend tradeshows or other events on an as-needed basis. Travel is within the U.S. and Canada - includes potential evening, weekend, and holiday work.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Event Planning or equivalent experience in a relevant industry.

A minimum of two years' experience in event planning is required.

Experience with tradeshows preferred, but not required.

Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to work well under pressure.

Proven ability to build and foster crucial partnerships with external stakeholders.

Proven record of delivering high-quality projects on time and on budget.

Ability to manage logistics, equipment, and travel for multiple events at once.

Highly skilled in self-lead work, while collaborating with other departments to execute event(s).

Creative experience in constructing event concepts and designs and seeking new opportunities that promote brand awareness.

Ability to create high-quality promotional content, campaigns, and marketing strategy around events with timely execution.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key metrics, manage metrics, assess, and report on results.

Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License and maintain a record of safe and competent driving.

Must be physically able to lift 20+ lb.
