We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Desk Adjuster to join our team. In this role, you will handle auto and property claims for farm, commercial, and personal lines, focusing on assessing damages, determining liability, and negotiating settlements. Using your knowledge of insurance policies, coverage interpretation, and investigative skills, you will provide fair and timely resolutions for each claim. This position can work remotely within the state of Wisconsin. Responsibilities: • Investigate and process auto and property claims for farm, commercial, and personal lines, using policy coverage, incident reports, and other supporting documentation. • Assess damage to a variety of vehicles and properties to determine the scope of loss, collaborating with specialists, as necessary. • Analyze liability by reviewing accident reports, witness statements, and relevant legal regulations. • Accurately document all activities, decisions, and settlements within the claims management system. • Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters, sales, subrogation, and legal counsel, to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a professional demeanor throughout the claims process. • Maintain timely processing and resolution of claims. • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices with insurance claims. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • One to three years of claims handling experience adjusting auto physical damage and/or small property claims. • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., insurance, business administration, risk management) or equivalent work experience. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess damages, determine coverage, and calculate settlement amounts accurately. • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders. • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other relevant software applications. • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously. • Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance standards. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as the Associated in General Insurance (AINS) or the Associate in Claims (AIC). • Experience determining liability. • Experience handling total loss vehicles. Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000/yr based on experience
