We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Desk Auto Adjuster to join our team. As a Desk Auto Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in the insurance process by assessing and determining the validity of insurance claims related to property damage and casualty incidents. You will use your expertise in insurance policies, coverage interpretation, and investigative skills to accurately evaluate claims and provide fair and timely resolutions. This position is able to work remotely in the state of Wisconsin. Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough investigations of automotive insurance claims, reviewing policy coverage, accident reports, and gathering supporting documentation. • Assess vehicle damages and determine the extent of loss, analyzing repair estimates and collaborating with experts, such as mechanics and appraisers, as needed. • Evaluate liability by examining accident reports, witness statements, and applicable laws and regulations. • Recognize and resolve minor injury exposures. • Communicate with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, and other relevant parties to gather information, explain coverage, and negotiate settlements. • Document all activities, decisions, and settlements accurately and timely in the claims management system. • Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters and legal counsel, to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout the claims process. Qualifications: • Two years of auto claims handling experience, including handling total loss vehicles. • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., insurance, business administration, risk management) or equivalent work experience. • In-depth knowledge of automobile mechanics, repair processes, and automotive insurance policies. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess damages, determine liability, and calculate settlement amounts accurately. • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders. • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other relevant software applications. • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously. • Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance standards. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision. • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Compensation: $65,000 - $73,000 yearly based on experience
