THE POSITIONThe Department of General Services is eager to find a marketing professional to join our Supplier Development and Support Division. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement the communication and marketing of the Commonwealth's "COSTARS" cooperative purchasing program in the Western PA Region. If you possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, we want you on our team!DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position plays a key role in drafting, recommending, and implementing communication and marketing plans. You will have the opportunity to participate in the development of an annual Strategic Plan. Your responsibilities will include monitoring performance of implemented plans, providing customer service for customers, and performing public relations duties to increase program participation and awareness. Work includes drafting marketing literature and training material. Delivering educational presentations to Local Public Procurement Units (LPPUs), related organizations or associations, suppliers, agency and bureau staff will be included in your duties.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.This position will be based at: Piatt Place, 301 Fifth Avenue, Suite 280, Pittsburgh, PA.Telework:

You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. You will be asked to report to Harrisburg once a month as decided between the employee and the supervisor. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as an Administrative Officer 1.

orThree years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree;

orAny equivalent combination of experience and training.
