Position Overview:

This position is responsible for managing the administrative and transactional functions of the indirect purchasing team. Key duties include purchase order creation and managing inquiries through the Procurement Ops shared folder. The role will influence Purchase to Pay best practices, ensure policy adherence, and maintain program compliance across various locations. Additional responsibilities include generating reports for monitoring KPIs, communicating with plants to resolve issues and promote best practices, and liaising with suppliers to address errors related to pricing, invoicing, and ordering. The individual is expected to respond to phones and emails within 24 hours and provide support to other staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage administrative and transactional functions of the indirect purchasing team.
  • Create and manage purchase orders.
  • Handle inquiries via the Procurement Ops shared folder.
  • Ensure adherence to Purchase to Pay best practices, company policies, and program compliance.
  • Generate reports for monitoring KPIs.
  • Communicate with plants regarding issue resolution and process improvements.
  • Resolve supplier errors related to pricing, invoicing, and ordering.
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Provide coverage for other support staff as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: Post-secondary education, including less than two years of special training, vocational school, or college courses, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in purchasing, accounts payable, supplier management, or operations.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; SAP experience preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Special Skills: Strong judgment, ability to interpret policies and procedures, analyze and solve complex problems, multitask, handle heavy workloads, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have direct reports.
