I. JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description Summary:

This Program Assistant position will support the Behind You Program, sponsored by the Southern Smoke Foundation (SSF) and George Washington University and under the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. Behind You, Southern Smoke provides access to no-cost counseling for food and beverage workers in California, Illinois, Louisiana, New York, Texas, Maine, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington D.C.

The responsibilities include:

  • Screening and recruiting Graduate Students, including helping prepare and monitor training and confirming that they have watched and completed the training videos and materials.
  • Responsible for monitoring and collecting data for the evaluation of the training component.
  • Coordinate with SSF and the Clinic Directors to ensure clients are placed and seen, including screening prospective clients.
  • Participate in monthly calls with SSF and clinic directors and weekly meetings with their supervisor.

Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field.
  • Previous coordination experience preferred.

Hiring Range

$18.06 - $23.50
